REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS – 3/18/13

Today is the day! After a long-awaited, slow and painful death, we have finally arrived at the unceremonious end of the Oof-If marriage. Before we get to that, the news roundup:

* Ms. Oof herself is again pretending to be involved in a scandalous cougar-type (my autocorrect wants to make that “codger-type”, which is probably more correct) relationship with Lil’ Rod, after announcing last week that they had mutually parted ways. On last night’s WWHL Mr. Andy formally announced that Adrienne had not come to the reunion, that we have seen the last of her as she is not coming back next season, and that Adrienne and Mr. Andy are never, ever, ever getting back together. So if this “relationship” is a play for attention and a storyline for next season, Ms. Oof may need to restrategize.

* Also in Beverly Hills, Marisa has closed the sale of her MIL’s house at $21MM, never having formally listed the property and entertained all offers privately. Interestingly, Mauricio was not named as a listing agent and therefore is cut out of the commission. The buyer’s agent was conveniently one of the guys from Million Dollar Listing, so maybe we’ll see Marisa at work on the upcoming season, whenever that is and if anyone watches anyway.

* Down the coast in the revolving door of OC friendships, last week Tammy Sue made a catty comment about Gretch’s singing so they aren’t friends, again; meanwhile Tammy unblocked Assy on Twitter so they are. At least on Twitter.

* In my neck of the woods, the Guidices, Gorgas, Manzos, Lauritas, and assorted hangers-on are at a spa here in Arizona celebrating Melissa Gorga’s birthday. I am suspicious that they are here in Tucson at Miraval because Miraval has gotten pretty attention-whorey in the past couple of years – first Oprah, then Giuliana and Bill Rancic, and finally the very bizarre alleged kidnapping and hostage retention of Michael Jackson’s mother. A Housewife vacation seems like a natural next step in the downward spiral. I love Miraval, and to be honest I’d love to be a guest alongside any ‘Wives for the pure entertainment value, but you have to start to question the exclusivity level.

* In NY, Sonja recently told some news outlet that Kountess Lu and Holla Heather will not be back next season. Meanwhile, Holla is taking on Spanx for patent infringement. I personally think there are only so many ways to control motion, so we’ll see how that goes.

How did Lisa do on DWTS? I didn’t see it.
